WhatsApp Tricks to See Geolocation of Contacts Without Them Knowing

The messaging app has a little-known shortcut that lets you know where a contact is without them knowing.

WhatsApp, the most popular messaging app, has a feature to track other people's location and find out where they are. To do this, simply share by pressing a button in the chat, without having to write the address, so that it is displayed on the map.

However, if you don't want to ask a contact to send their location, there is a trick to find out their geolocation without them knowing.

It's also important to speak recently with the person whose geolocation you want to know. Once the computer is on and the WhatsApp Web account is active, there are a few small steps to follow. The first thing to do is to close all the tabs on your PC that are running in the background.

You will then have to enter the WhatsApp conversation with that person from the desktop version of the platform and press Control + Alt + Delete. This will automatically open "Windows Task Manager".

At this point, you need to press Win + R to open the "Run Operating System" function, then type "cmd" and press the Enter key.

After performing this action, a command prompt appears, where you need to type 'netstat -an' and press Enter key again.

If all the steps have been done correctly, then you will be able to find the IP address of the other person, which you have to enter on this page to find out the approximate location of the person.

Using this trick, you can find out where someone in your contact list is without having to send you their location, although it might stop working at some point.

In this case, the alternative is to use a third party website, although this is not recommended for security reasons. With the shortcut, you can only chat about your approximate location and there's no way to find out your real-time geolocation without sharing it.
